SPESIFIKASI Ford Ranger
Ford Ranger finally introduce a new face. However, Australia was chosen as the premiere pickup United States (U.S.) this.
New Ranger provides the most important thing to pickup truck owners worldwide. Not just a matter of looks that addressed, staff also became an important reference of this car.
Three new engines provided by Ford Motor Co.. First, the diesel engine Ford Duratorq TDCi I4 new 2.2 liter with an output of 375 Nm maximum torque and power output of 110 kW (150 PS). Second, diesel engine Ford Duratorq TDCi 3.2-liter I5 with 470 Nm of torque and power 147 kW (200 PS). Finally, Ford Duratec I4 gasoline engine-powered 2.5-liter to 122 kW (166 PS).
"The machine is a great heart pickup truck capability," says Chief Programme Engineer Ford Ranger John Tatge, in a release received Legal, Friday (10/15/2010).
Ford's new Ranger engine featuring third at the Australian International Motor Show. This shows how Ford's new Ranger has designed a whole in order to compete in 180 markets around the world.
Premiering in Sydney, New Ford Ranger makes fuel efficiency as the main reason for purchase. With a sophisticated turbocharger, the new engine provides fuel economy and higher energy while reducing emissions to the customer a new generation Ranger.
And for the first time, a certain Ranger diesel model will be provided with automatic transmission or six-speed manual which presents a decrease engine rpm and the addition of the reach of Ranger for a long journey on the highway or city traffic. Petrol-engined models are equipped five-speed manual transmission.
The availability of diesel engines with 2.2 liter and 3.2 liter four-cylinder with five-cylinder showed that the Ranger is ready to master the compact pickup truck segment. This new machine also claimed to have a significant improvement in fuel economy that extend the distance between refueling.
A number of improvements have been made on the new Ranger, including the use of latest technology, fuel distribution through high pressure fuel system. Fuel delivery system has been adjusted and calibrated to produce precise combustion efficiency and improve fuel economy without affecting power.
The series of machine is calibrated to meet energy needs and emissions throughout the world. For areas emission standards strict Stage V, Ranger can be equipped with a MT82 six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission 6R80. Transmission designed for 4x2 and 4x4 versions of lighter and uses part of that has been reinforced, designed and tested to meet the standards of the global commercial vehicle.
The fuel for diesel engines are economical 2.2 liter - which is still to be certified officially - is expected to make the best Ranger in the segment. With a fuel tank capacity of 80 liters, 2.2 liter TDCi Ranger can spend a lot of gas stations before requiring refueling.

Ford Tudor - Collector Cars
Ford Tudor - Collector CarsI have an old newspaper photo from the Cleveland Plain Dealer on my desk at home showing a somewhat overwhelmed-looking 3-year-old boy standing behind a 1934 Ford sedan holding a toy car of his own. The caption explains how that little boy’s father had just purchased that 1934 Ford sedan at the auction where the photo was taken, and that it was the father’s first-ever antique car. If you’re a regular reader, you’ve probably guessed that the little boy is me, the car is my father’s 1934 Ford that started the two of us in the collector car hobby, and the date was sometime in July of 1973. My father knew nothing of old cars and couldn’t have imagined what he was getting himself into. He just liked how that old Ford looked. When this 1934 Ford tudor sedan showed up, I was instantly transported back 35 years to that day, and to the many fun hours thereafter spent in that neat old Ford. In fact, I invited my father to visit Best of Show this afternoon just to see this car, and we ate lunch reminiscing about that car, both of us regretting that it was “the one that got away.” It was an absolutely fantastic hobby car in every single way—reliable, quick enough to keep up with modern traffic, big enough for the entire family, and incredibly stylish. Will anyone argue with me that 1934 was a banner year for Ford designers? This very nice 1934 Ford tudor sedan has had a modest restoration sometime in the past, but was clearly never destined to be a trailer queen. Instead, it is a super-clean and functional driver with great paint and a gorgeous original-style interior. Of course, it’s black with black fenders, Henry Ford’s favorite color scheme, and it is in very presentable condition today. The wheels and pinstripe are Tacoma Cream, which is a nice compliment to the tan cloth interior. The body work was done to a good standard several years ago, and it has aged well. A few of the friction points such as the hood latch mechanisms have some wear, but overall—especially for a black car—it looks fantastic. The doors are flat and wave-free, the fenders are solid, and the paint is glossy. The fabric insert for the top is in excellent condition with no signs of tears, rips, or shrinkage. Up front, you’ll find those great-looking stainless steel Ford headlights augmented by a pair of aftermarket driving lights that were a period accessory. The bumpers front and rear have been re-chromed, and the bumper guards are correct (I seem to recall that our ’34 had the wrong ones and the correct ones were virtually impossible to find). The single horn is under the driver’s side headlight and works properly, as do the dual taillights, with the driver’s side also sporting a clear lens to light the license plate. Some of the glass has been replaced, but I have a hunch the glass in the doors is original and it’s in very good condition with little delamination and bubbling. And that gorgeous 1934 grille is in excellent condition from top to bottom with no bent bars. Mechanically, this tudor still runs an original style flathead engine. Because Ford never really matched engine and frame numbers, we can’t say for certain whether it is a numbers matching car, but on these it doesn’t really matter. It’s a correct 221 cubic inch early 21-stud flathead with what I believe are factory replacement cast iron heads (casting 68-6050B with a tag marked 10-19-45 on the driver’s side and 68-6049B with a tag marked 6-13-45 on the passenger’s side).

Ford announces dual clutch PowerShift gearbox
Ford Motor Company announced today it will introduce an advanced dual-clutch PowerShift six-speed transmission in North America in 2010 for the small-car segment. The new gearbox will deliver the fuel efficiency of a manual gearbox with the convenience and ease of a premium automatic transmission, making it a key enabling technology as Ford targets best-in-class or among-the-best fuel economy with every new vehicle it introduces in North America.
Overall, Six-speed transmissions already have helped vehicles such as the 2010 Ford Fusion achieve best-in-class fuel economy, while at the same time allowing the Ford Flex and Ford Escape to achieve unsurpassed fuel economy in their respective segments.
Ford is leveraging six-speed transmissions, advanced internal combustion engines such as EcoBoost, hybrids, full electric vehicles, vehicle weight reduction and electric power-assisted steering to improve fuel economy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions fleet-wide by 30 percent by the year 2020.Compared to traditional automatic four-speed transmissions, PowerShift can help reduce fuel consumption by up to 9 percent depending on the application.
PowerShift provides the full comfort of an automatic with a more sophisticated driving dynamic, thanks to uninterrupted torque from the dual-clutch technology, which consists essentially of two manual transmissions working in parallel, each with its own independent clutch unit. One clutch carries the uneven gears – 1, 3 and 5 – while the other the even gears – 2, 4 and 6. Subsequent gear changes are coordinated between both clutches as they engage and disengage for a seamless delivery of torque to the wheels.
PowerShift, unlike conventional automatic transmissions, does not need the heavier torque converter or planetary gears. In addition, the dry-clutch derivative eliminates the need for the weighty pumps, hydraulic fluids, cooling lines and external coolers that wet clutch transmissions require. As a result, the dry-clutch PowerShift transmission can weigh nearly 30 pounds less than, for example, the four-speed automatic transmission featured on today's Ford Focus.Differentiating PowerShift even further in terms of its customer appeal is its shift quality, launch feel and overall drive dynamic, which are all facilitated by an expert blend of Ford-exclusive electro-mechanical systems, software features, calibrations and controls. These unique driving features include:
• Neutral coast down – The clutches will disengage when the brakes are applied, improving coasting downshifts and clutch robustness as well as reducing parasitic losses for increased fuel economy.
• Precise clutch control in the form of a clutch slip to provide torsional damping of the engine vibration – This function improves noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) at low engine speeds and enables lower lugging limits for improved fuel economy.
• Low-speed driving or creep mode with integrated brake pressure – This function simulates the low-speed control drivers are accustomed to from an automatic transmission. The amount of rolling torque in Drive and Reverse is precisely controlled, gradually building as brake pressure is released.
• Hill mode or launch assist – Prevents a vehicle from rolling back on a grade by maintaining brake pressure until the engine delivers enough torque to move the vehicle up the hill, providing improved driver confidence, comfort, safety and clutch robustness.
